You can BBQ again on Highbury Fields. Hurrah! The ban has been lifted. I wish we could BBQ in my neighbouring Clissold Park. I've had several idea's about how this could work. Give out bricks, hire out BBQ's.. its criminal that in London most people don't have a garden and we're not allowed to BBQ in our public parks.
We had a pink coleslaw made from rich greek yoghurt instead of mayonnaise, my favourite fennel and carrot shavings side salad (which just gets some lemon, white wine vinegar and oil), harissa pasted squid, a chilled bottle of Pinot Noir and some mighty fine well hung rump steaks from Godfreys in Highbury.*
Holy crap, cooking steak on a bbq is the best way, it really is.
*goes without saying there was halloumi too
